Bio
Soon to be Husband. Father. Son. Brother. Photographer. Author. Animal and Nature Lover. These are all words that easily describe me. I'm sure if I really thought about it the list could go on and on...Though born in California, I grew up in Washington State where my innate interest in animals and wildlife had me bringing all sorts of critters home from the local river. Thankfully I have a Mom that didn't freak-out when her son brought home a snake to show her. And thankfully my Parents had the sense enough to tell me to put it back right where I found it.
Those Parents of mine were good enough to see my interest in photography when I kept asking my Dad if I could use his 35mm Pentax to take pictures instead of my old JC Penny 110, (they don't even bother to sell film for 110's anymore!). It was December 1987 when I received my first 35mm camera, and that camera and I have seen a lot over the years.
Today I live, work and play in San Diego, California. My passion is my work, or is it the other way around? Regardless, I love my work as a Zoo Keeper, but also enjoy the hobbies of photography and writing. With that, my passions and joys have worked their way out of my subconscious and into the real world in the form of, photographic art, written words and thus, books.
